first_img Twitter WhatsApp Facebook Google+ Twitter Concern at numbers leaving Derry and Tyrone for college in Britain Its emerged that more young people leave counties Derry and Tyrone to attend universities in Britain than anywhere else in Northern Ireland.The figures were provided to Foyle MLA Martina Anderson by Employment and Learning Minister Reg Empey as part of an answer to an Assembly question on the future expansion of Magee.Ms Anderson asked him for an update of his deliberations regarding the expansion of Magee and whether he will consider raising the cap on student numbers.In answer, he indicated he is exploring proposals, and will work with the University to develop funding bids for expansion at Magee.
