Marco Benevento Drops Piano Magic At Brooklyn Album Release Show [Gallery/Setlist]

first_imgLoad remaining images Fresh off the release of his new album, The Story of Fred Short, Piano virtuoso Marco Benevento hit the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn this past weekend for a spectacular, career-spanning performance. Floating through a synth-heavy dance party and psychedelic, jammed out melodies, Marco brought his audience on a journey through an eclectic range of sounds and styles.A highlight of the evening was seeing three powerful ladies killing it on stage. Karina Rykman, currently filling in for Dave Dreiwitz on bass while he tours with Ween, absolutely stole the show. The 22-year-old seemed at ease as she ripped through chord after chord, casually grooving along and crushing solos. Mikaela Davis made an appearance on harp, and Katie Jacoby took charge on violin. These three young women showed the room the meaning of girl power.Check out photos from the evening, courtesy of Bahram Foroughi.Setlist: Marco Benevento at Music Hall of Williamsburg 4/16/16One Set: Dropkick, If I Get To See You, Atari, The Story of Fred Short, Coyote Hearing, Heartbeats, The Real Morning Party, Witches of Ulster, Limbs of a Pine, At The ShowEncore: Heroes, Let’s Spend The Nightlast_img
