Bengals Draft for 2017

first_imgCincinnati Bengals should get a pretty good grade on their 2017 NFL draft picks.  I thought they addressed their needs pretty well.  Of course, the Bengals always have to have a controversial pick in order to keep their reputation alive.  Here are those picks:At number 1 they selected John Ross, a wide receiver from Washington University.  He astounded the experts when he ran a 4.22 in the 40-yard dash at the Combine.  Besides being a receiver, he can also run back kicks and play defensive back.  He should be a long-term fit for the Bengals. At number 2 the Bengals selected Joe Mixon, a running back from Oklahoma.  Joe is the controversial pick I referred to earlier.  In his freshman year at Oklahoma, he punched a lady in the face and broke 4 of her bones.  Why did the Bengals choose him?  He is big, strong, and can run over people.  Talent always wins out in pro sports.Their final picks were Jordan Willis, a defensive end from Kansas State; Carl Lawson, another defensive end from Auburn; and Ryan Glasgow, a defensive tackle from Michigan.  Their next draft choices included Jake Elliot, a kicker from Memphis; J.J. Dielman, an offensive lineman from Utah; Jordan Evans, a linebacker from Oklahoma; and Brandon Wilson, a cornerback from Houston.last_img
