Colts claim running back D’Onta Foreman off waivers

It didn’t take long for D’Onta Foreman to get a second chance in the NFL.One day after the Texans waived the third-year running back, the Colts announced they had claimed him off waivers. After a standout college career at Texas, where he won the Doak Walker Award as the nation’s top running back in his final year, Foreman had been a disappointment for the Texans. A third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, he tore his Achilles in Week 11 of his rookie season and didn’t return until last December.But Foreman had reportedly drawn the ire of Texans coaches in training camp this year for a poor work ethic and being late for team meetings.Foreman carried the ball only 85 times for 326 yards in two seasons in Houston.last_img
